EXECUTIVE BOARD OFFICERS & COMMITTEES:
LaRene Leavitt Cox, daughter of Edward Leo and Rena Gubler Leavitt, was born
and raised in Washington County.
She grew up in the small town of Veyo where her parents taught her the value of hard work and self reliance.
After graduating from Dixie High School she attended Brigham Young
University earning her Bachelor of Fine
Arts Degree. It was there that she met and married her sweetheart of 32 years, Dean J Cox.
Together they made their home in St. George and raised four beautiful
children. LaRene had a full-time career
meeting the needs of her growing family, while still finding time to participate in PTA, scouting, sports, and other youth programs, as well, as helping with the family business. As her children grew, she was able to become more involved in business and community. In 2002, when her husband, Dean, was recruited to work for Washington County, she took on the full-time responsibilities of management and finances for the family business.
LaRene's interest in politics began early. She and Dean enjoyed helping
Republican candidates with various Local,
State, and Federal campaigns. She has served for many years as a County and State Delegate, Neighborhood Caucus Secretary/Treasurer, and is currently serving on the Washington County Republican Party Executive Committee as a State Central Committee Member.

business of which
Lesa keeps all the financial books. They have two children, Trued attending BYU, and Sela a Sophomore at Snow Canyon High School. She's been a PTA president 6 times, an avid scouter, extremely committed to her Church service, and heavily involved in politics for many years now. Jerald's favorite saying is, "I work really hard to keep my wife at home, but I can never find her there."

friend, Michelle Root for getting her involved.
