.

1st Vice President: Programs
Michelle Root

My name is Michelle Root. I am married to Bradley Root and we are the parents of five children, ranging in age from 23 to 8. The oldest is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army and is currently attending medical school and the youngest is in 3rd grade. I have spent the last 23 years as a wife and mother and volunteering in various church and civic organizations. Previous to that I attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Arizona State University. If I had spare time I would love to do more sewing, reading, gardening and playing tennis.

I am a political “junkie” and originally joined the WCRW to become more informed and feel like I was doing something to maintain our freedoms and fight for what I believe is right. I look forward to an exciting election year in 2010. My goal for programs this year is have meetings that will be enlightening, informative and will help move us to action.

2nd Vice President: Membership
Wendy Cox

Wendy has lived in Santa Clara for 4 years. Prior to that, she and her family lived in Henderson, Nevada. Wendy grew up in Hurricane, Utah. She has 3 children ranging in ages from 8 to 17 years old. Her husband, Andy, is an attorney focusing on estate planning.

Wendy graduated from BYU with a degree in Business Management. She worked in the insurance field for a few years before starting a family. Since that time, Wendy has been a stay-at-home mom. Wendy has volunteered much time with church, PTA and community. A couple of years ago, she got the bug to become more politically active and joined WCRW. She looks forward to working as the Membership VP.

in St. George.

Assistant Treasurer:
Sandi Barrett

Sandi moved to St. George, from Orange County, California, after retiring from
a major aerospace corporation in 2004.  After 33 years of working in various aspects of accounting it was time to kick back and do other things she wanted
to do in life.  One of those was pursuing interest in the Republican Party.

Sandi has been a widow for several years and has raised 2 sons.  One son
lives here in Santa Clara and the son is currently stationed in Germany where
he is an Apache pilot for the US Army.   She also has 4 grandchildren, with whom she likes to spend as much time as possible with.  Sandi has thoroughly enjoyed her 2 year service as treasurer of the WCRW and looks forward to continuing to work on the board as
assistant treasure.

Member at Large
Allison McArthur

Allison grew up in St. George and graduated from Dixie College and attended BYU.  She has always been politically active and was involved with the Republicans at Dixie. Allison married Tom McArthur and they
have raised 7 beautiful children. They own and manage McArthur
Jewelers in downtown St. George and have been grateful to have
been so involved in the community for many years.

Allison has served as a precinct leader, county and state delegate, and
on the state central committee. She has been active in many campaigns and as a member of the WCRW helping to get great people to serve in offices. She has also served
